John Edwards Should Give Up His Home

The definition of hypocrisy:

Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards told a labor group he would ask Americans to make a big sacrifice: their sport utility vehicles. Edwards says Americans should be asked to drive more fuel efficient vehicles. He says he would ask them to give up SUVs. (emphasis added)

It probably takes more energy to heat his home just enough for the pipes not to freeze for a day than I use in my 4×4 HEMI-powered Ram in a month:

Presidential candidate John Edwards and his family recently moved into. . . [a] home totaling 28,200 square feet of connected space. The main house is 10,400 square feet and has two garages. The recreation building, a red, barn-like building containing 15,600 square feet, is connected to the house by a closed-in and roofed structure of varying widths and elevations that totals 2,200 square feet.

The main house is all on one level except for a 600-square-foot bedroom and bath area above the guest garage.

The recreation building contains a basketball court, a squash court, two stages, a bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms, swimming pool, a four-story tower, and a room designated “John’s Lounge.”

So it’s fine for Edwards to poor enegy into this;

Edwards is an energy pig.

But the average American should give up this;

Edwards is an energy pig.

Unfortunately it’s not just some fluke of a John Edwards, it’s an ideal of leftist elites.

    On behalf of conservatives everywhere, I would like to ask Senator Edwards (& the rest of the hypocrite leftist Democratic presidential candidates) to make a big sacrifice & give up wasteful private jet travel. I’m very concerned that all of these repeated trips in private fuel guzzling jets to Iowa are harming the environment & I call upon them to take the initiative to save our planet & just stay home……in fact, they shouldn’t leave their mansions to campaign either. I hate to restrict their travel…..but we’re talking the environment here….it’s just that critical. Please Senator Edwards, don’t delay…our children are depending on you…..
